Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on heavy mobile equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate welding procedures.
- Set up welding equipment and machinery, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment, identifying any welding defects or issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder with a focus on heavy mobile equipment. A minimum of 1 year of relevant welding experience is required.
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of different welding materials and their applications in mobile equipment construction.
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
- Welding certification or relevant trade qualifications.
