Job Summary
We are looking for a Workshop Fitter who will be ensuring the continual safe running of all of the sites equipment. This will be achieved by ensuring high levels of responsiveness, additional focus on Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and using this information to prioritise maintenance and improvement activities.
Role Responsibilities
Mechanical trade qualified with at least certificate III
Responsible for safe and optimal Maintenance of the sites Mix plant, packaging lines and palletising area
Maintenance of assets in our Minto Ice Cream production plant, including the above systems as well as other maintenance tasks across the site
Preventative/corrective maintenance and resolving breakdowns
Troubleshooting and problem solving with minimal disruption to production
Identifying and implementing creative improvement solutions to eliminate breakdowns
Participate in projects
Support Autonomous Maintenance teams

Required
Certificate III in Mechanical
Strong understanding and hands-on experience of maintaining process equipment including pumps, control valves, storage tanks, homogeniser and pasteuriser
Strong understanding and hands-on experience of maintaining palletising equipment
Hands on experience to work on lathe machine, grinders, milling machine, and welding skills are desirable
Strong commitment to safety
Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Desired
Strong understanding and hands on experience of maintaining packaging equipment including box formers, carton closers, shrink wrappers etc.
Strong understanding and hands on experience of maintaining pneumatic components including cylinders and solenoid valves.
Knowledge of SAP PM desirable
Working at heights certification desirable
