The hours & roster
- Your base hours will be on a 4:3 roster. Monday - Thursday - 6.00am - 3.30pm (paid lunch breaks)
- Friday - 6.00am - 12.00 midday - 3 hours @ time & half, 3 hours @ double time
The workshop
Located just north of Newcastle this large, well equipped workshop facility is supported by;-
- Over 25 bays
- 8 overhead cranes
- Lunch/ canteen facilities
- High tech modern equipment at the forefront of technology
- A wide range of tooling & excellent stocks of spare parts
The workshop role
Reporting to the section supervisor and working closely with other tradespeople, you will enjoy working in large workshop facility with highly experienced team of tradespeople. The role involves;-
- 75% - rebuilds
- 25% - new machine assembly, maintenance and repairs, breakdowns
- Machinery - UG coal mining machinery, tunnelling equipment
Your value
You will have come from a trade qualified background and have strong experience working in a workshop-based environment.
- Trade qualification - mechanical fitting, diesel mechanic, light vehicle mechanic
- Strong hydraulic skills is very desirable - however not essential
- Workshop rebuild/ major component change out experience - highly regarded
- Excellent attitude towards work and safety
- High attention to detail and quality of work
- Looking to further your skills and develop your experience on UG mining/ tunnelling machinery
