Workshop Manager

Programmed Skilled Workforce is a leading provider of managed workforce and training services. We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Workshop Manager, based in Rockhampton. Our client provides a full suite of logistics support for a Military vehicle fleet, including maintenance support, repair and overhaul for a wide range of tracked and wheeled vehicles. This exciting role is predominantly based in Rockhampton operating a 9-day fortnight. This position also offers a unique experience to support an annual military exercise. This provides an opportunity for working in the exercise area for the duration of the working week with a very attractive daily rate. During the exercise all accommodation & meals are provided.Benefits:Fantastic safety cultureOpportunity for growth and developmentFull time Permanent positionTo be considered for the role you must have the following:Current Drivers LicenceComputer Operating Skills with ability in "Microsoft Office" functionalityBasic understanding of BudgetsUnderstanding of ISO requirements (9001/2015 & 45001/2018)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsOrganised and able to meet deadlines.The following are desirable skills but not essential:Certificate IV in Frontline Management or relevant experienceMR Licence & High-Risk Forklift Licence (highly regarded)Knowledge of Attache & Powerlink ApplicationsUnderstanding of working with contractsYour new role will consist of a range of duties including but not limited to:Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending system improvements.Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities.Maintaining staff by recruiting and training employees.Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment.Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information.The successful applicant will be reliable and can work effectively on their own or as part of a team.
