The Position
If you no longer want to keep turning up to that ordinary warehouse where every day is groundhog day and the most interesting thing that happens during the week is when they finally stock up on your favourite flavour of Pringles in the vending machine that never works, then help is on its way!
Located in North Lakes, we have a position available to start immediately as Workshop Support; an entry-level, full-time role that is ideal for an enthusiastic, reliable individual with a keen interest in the automotive industry.
Reports to:
Operations Management
We are looking for someone who:
- has exposure to the receipt and handling of parts deliveries
- has a current C Class or higher Drivers Licence (HR Licence and Forklift Licence desirable)
- has exposure to the workings of an automotive workshop
- loves to be on their feet and moving all day
- is obsessed with detail - loves to organise, organise and re-organise
- enjoys being part of a team in a workshop environment
- loves variety and knowing each day will be different (ie. no boring desk job for you!)
- has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- possesses exceptional organisational and time management skills
What does the role look like?
- Support the Fitters on the Workshop floor to enable them to do their best work
- Accept deliveries and check delivery dockets against orders
- Unpack, sort and store deliveries
- Manage parts and consumables storage
- Assist with build kit compilation (eg. roof rack assembly)
- Undertake transport runs as required
- Book third party services
- Manage defective parts returns
- Keep workshop and office space clean and presentable
