WTSS Operator - Darwin (Robertson) Barracks

Role overview

InVeris Training Solutions is seeking applicants for the role of Operator at the Weapon Training Simulation System (WTSS) located at the Darwin (Robertson Barracks). This role will require the successful applicant to operate the WTSS, ensure building and equipment security and assist the WTSS admin operator with administrative duties including the accounting for weapon simulators and controlled stores as well as completing required reports and returns as required.

The role is a full-time capacity covering 76 hours per fortnight, the daily split of hours will be discussed during interview stage, there is also optional ad-hoc outside core hours bookings at the WTSS facility which are above and beyond regular hours.

Experience:

Military experience is desirable however, all applications will be considered.

Key skill sets required:

• High attention to detail.
• Excellent administration skills.
• Efficiently managing workload within deadlines.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Competent with MS word, MS Excel, MS outlook.

Primary Duties:

• Perform administrative coordination for the site.
• Ensure all required reports are completed and submitted.
• Oversee the Operations of the WTSS Facility.
• Leadership and mentoring of team members.
• Secure management and movement of Simulated weapons and controlled stores into and out of the armoury and securing the armoury at the completion of the day’s activities.
• Carry out scheduled preventative, daily & monthly maintenance of the WTSS equipment.
• Perform minor repairs to the WTSS facility equipment under direction from the InVeris Technical Support Staff.
• The ability to safely lift/push/pull 5-40 kg loads regularly.
• Must be self-starters and able to work remote from head office in a Military environment with minimal supervision.

Additional requirements

• Successful applicants must be able to pass a Defence Security clearance.
• Role may require occasional travel around Australia.
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s license.
