About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and driven individual to work in the Yard supporting a small team to maintain all aspects of the yard maintenance and equipment. Ideally you will have an interest and passion for machinery and the construction industry and are looking for the opportunity to learn and grow within the role and company.
Key Responsibilities for the role
* Stock control including daily stock counts, assist will any discrepancies and stock allocations for bookings and provide priority lists to mechanics for run-ups.
* Receiving incoming equipment, oversee the team responsible for cleaning the equipment, complete run ups to support the mechanical team, re fuelling equipment.
* Prepare equipment ready for loading and assist with unloading of trucks.
* Maintain a clean and orderly yard ensuring efficient coordination of truck and equipment storage.
Skills & experience
* Drivers licence required and forklift licence, experience driving other equipment desirable.
* Previous yard/ depot experience and or knowledge of machinery/tools and construction equipment.
* Effective communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to provide guidance to a small team and able to work in a busy environment.
* Ability and willingness to learn all aspects of the equipment and machinery and further progress in your career.
