Yard Hand / Workshop Assistant

Due to the consistent growth in our Prestons branch, we have an opportunity for a someone who is looking for a permanent full time role to join our well established team as the Workshop Assistant/Yard hand. The role will suit someone who wants to work in a workshop environment, work outside and best of all wants to be active. We have a fully functional workshop, a great team environment and well established safety processes. The successful candidate will report to our NSW After Sales Service and Warranty Manager and will be another integral member of our already busy operations.  

Key Accountabilities -

Operational Responsibilities

• Fuel coaches/vehicles
• Check fluid levels of all coaches/vehicles – Oil, Coolant, AdBlue, Washer fluid
• Clean coaches/vehicles – External wash, Polish rims, Dress tyres, clean floors, engine bay and luggage bin area
• Document, Record and Report any coach/vehicle damage.
• Detail new/used vehicles prior to sale
• General depot maintenance as required.
• Address all equipment or maintenance faults promptly.
• Support and promote sustainability practices in the workplace in conjunction with management direction

Skills and Experience

• Ability to follow procedures methodically and work without supervision.
• Minimum MR Licence.
• Good physical fitness.
• 2 years industry experience would be an advantage.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
