Compliance and Abandoned Vehicles Officer
Branch Compliance and Parking Services
Temporary Full time – until late August 2024
Band 5 $76,910 - $89,109 (pro- rata) + Superannuation 

The position sits within the Compliance and Parking Branch which provides a high level of customer service within the municipality, balancing the community needs and safety as a priority. The role specifically sits within Local Laws and these are designed to provide services that protect and enhance the safety, health and amenity of the municipality and its residents and visitors. You will be required to:

  • Manage Abandoned Vehicle requests in line with Council’s Local Law and procedures, Local Government Act 1989 and any other relevant Act.
  • Ensure compliance with Council’s Local Law, the Environment Protection Act 2017 and a focus on the Domestic Animal Act 1994 and the management of animals within the municipality.
  • Instigate appropriate enforcement action to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and provide such evidence in a court of law when required.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Conduct weekend and out of hours work will be required by the officer and remuneration will be paid at the Award rates.
