  • $ 63,646.96 per annum (32.21 per hour) + 11% Employer superannuation
  • Full time (76 hours) – Part time up to 0.8 may be negotiated
  • Fixed-Term 12 month contract
  • Traineeships are available to be based at Dandenong, Ringwood, Frankston or Morwell YSAS sites. Regular travel to other YSAS sites will be required.

Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS) is one of Australia’s largest and most comprehensive, youth specific community service organisation that enables young people experiencing serious disadvantage to access the resources and support they require to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

The AOD Traineeships project aims to provide on the job learning opportunities that allow trainees to experience the work in a range of service settings whilst studying. The YSAS Youth AOD Traineeships aim to support trainees to become ready for employment by the end of their 12 month role.



What you've got :

  • If you are looking for an opportunity to start in the drug and alcohol field, this is the perfect entry-level role for you.
  • You will be enthusiastic to gain learning in the field of youth drug and alcohol work and to experience work in different service types and programs.
  • You are not required to have any formal training in drug and alcohol work but will be willing to commence training or to continue with further training in the field.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTIQ+ people, people of refugee and migrant background, young people and those with lived experience of substance use concerns are strongly encouraged to apply.
