Community Links Wellbeing is a not-for-profit organisation providing holistic support across Wollondilly, Wingecarribee and Camden local government areas for 35 years.
Our nationally accredited mental health program in which you will be employed has been supporting local community for 7 years and is growing as we receive increased federal and state funding. We design and run focused as well as broad primary care mental health programs, covering ages 3 years up.
About our program
A multidisciplinary team including mental health professionals (Clin Psychs, Psychs, Social workers, Psychiatrists, Dietitian, Clinical Family Therapist), peer workers and Youth Engagement Workers.
We are growing, providing therapy across all ages 3+, as a strengths based, solutions focused program we in reach to schools, homes and other settings as required.
We provide excellent support via individual and group supervision from clinical psychologists and senior social workers, which complements our strong focus on training and development for all team members.
Some examples of our systemic work into community includes adventure therapy, establishment of a youth LGBTQIA+ network, a burgeoning art program and therapeutic groups such as Circle of Security and DBT in the class room.
Our unique model that has accreditation against the National Standards in Mental Health Services combines ReFrame (Headspace) ages 12 to 25, Holistic Youth Program known as HYP (Headspace), STAR4Kids ages 3 to 12 (SWSPHN), ReClaim – eating disorder program (SWSPHN), You In Mind – Low, Moderate and High (SWSPHN), Kaleidoscope children (ages 4 to 17) of parents with mental illness (SWSLHD), Clinical Suicide Prevention Service (SWSPHN), Medicare Better Access and NDIS.

About the role
The primary role of the Youth Engagement Worker within Community Links
Wellbeing is to collaborate as part of a team of community service and health
professionals to provide a person centered practice by integrating with others within and outside the organization to improve outcomes for young people, families and the community.
This position will cover the Wollondilly and Wingecarribee shires.
You will have daily contact with other professionals and work side by side with our Mental Health Clinical team.
We receive our referrals from GPs and self-referrals from community members
We have a dedicated administration team to support your work

To be eligible for this position you’ll need
- Certificate IV in Youth Work or minimum 3 years experience
- National Criminal History Check (police check)
- Current Working with Children Check – required before commencement of work
- Current drivers licence
- Australian working rights
