The Opportunity:

  • Youth Mental Health Clinician (Mon-Fri)
  • Hotham Street Community Mental Health - PRESTON
  • OT, Social Worker, Psychologist or Psychiatric Nurse
  • Part time 0.9EFT (72hrs/fortnight)
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist or Mental Health Nurse to join the team at Hotham Street Mental Health Clinic Preston.
Hotham Street Clinic is now seeking expressions of interest for all who would like to progress their careers as a Youth Mental Health Clinician and become a pivotal part in the future of Mental Health.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Experience in providing recovery-oriented care including assessment and development of interventions in collaboration with young people /carers/families and other service providers including GP's NDIS service providers and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in discipline specific evidence-based practice and appropriate treatment options as required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in discipline specific clinical supervision and workload management.
  • Require to contribute in ongoing professional development activities and in-service training and sharing new found knowledge with the clinical team.
  • Extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
  • Demonstrated ability in working with people who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis aged between 16 - 25 and their families/carers.
  • Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with clients who have co-occurring Mental Health and substance use disorders
  • Well-developed skills in writing and an ability to promptly prepare relevant documentation
  • A current Victorian Drivers licence
