Details:Calwell High School is located in beautiful Tuggeranong with a population of approximately 400 students. Staff are part of a team dedicated to student centred improvement and innovation, supporting individual student learning and pathways.

Calwell High is well resourced with a tight knit staff and community, committed to supporting our students and each other. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Youth Worker to work as part of our amazing team of Youth Workers within our Wellbeing Team. Our Youth Worker team provide exceptional support to our students and staff, and develop and implement a range of programs to improve student engagement and outcomes.

Eligibility/Other requirements

Mandatory

• Must have current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration.

Highly Desirable

• Certificate IV or Tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, in Youth Work or a related field.

Desirable

• First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for seven months with possibility of extension up to 12 months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
