Evoenergy is seeking to fill two Electrical Fitter positions in the Zone Substations Team on an ongoing basis.About us

About the OpportunityAs a Zone Substation Electrical Fitter you will be required to perform a range of duties involving the construction, maintenance, and repair of Evoenergy’s zone substation equipment including:Installation, maintenance and inspection of 132kV and 11kV switchgear, power transformers, current transformers (CTs) and voltage transformers (VTs). Installation of secondary systems including protection relays, SCADA remote terminal units (RTUs) and optical fibre-based Ethernet control system communications networks to IEC 61850. Maintain quality standards with construction work and complete Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
Assist and participate in other activities including customer electrical infrastructure testing. electrical testing. and protection scheme maintenance.
Fault response and fault rectification works. Participate in on-call & shift-work rosters as necessary based on Evoenergy policy. We are looking for a dedicated team player who displays the required skills and role models Evoenergy’s culture principles.
You will need to take initiative, be organised and be able to communicate, build relationships and lead by example. Our field staff enjoy a 9-day fortnight and receive competitive remuneration plus allowances and overtime. About you
