SalaryOverview of Role:
We are a small Private Hospital in Frenchs Forest, Sydney that specialises in performing sleep studies and acclimatising patients onto CPAP therapy. We are looking for 1 part-time Registered Nurse to setup and monitor patients overnight.
Hours and Responsibilities:
Shifts are on a two week rotating roster:
W1: Tuesday nightduty (11pm-7.30am) + Thursday setup (6-11.15pm). W2: Thursday setup (6.30-11.15pm). + Thursday setup (6-11.15pm).
The position requires willingness and availability to cover holidays and sick relief on other days of operation (Monday - Thursday).
The setup includes patient care, application of sleep equipment, signal interpretation on computer and associated paperwork and cleaning.
Overnight monitoring of patients includes signal interpretation, CPAP titration, patient care, cleaning of equipment and patient discharge.
The role is technical in nature and there is no high care nursing.
Essential Skills:
Confident computer skills. Registered Nurse. Good interpersonal skills. Comprehensive training provided. Willingness to learn.
Experience:
You do not need to have experience in sleep medicine, paid training will be provided. To be considered for the role you need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and enjoy patient interaction. You enjoy solving problems and have excellent time management skills.
We are looking for a RN with a great attitude who is motivated and looking to learn something new in an interesting field of medicine. The position would suit someone who enjoys working evenings and nights within a small team and wants job satisfaction through an interesting and challenging role.
Commence:
Paid training to commence ASAP.
