This is an initial 6 months contract with with a 12-month extension term , located at our client's office in ACT with the possibility of remote work.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Develop and implement client's solution-centric Azure capability including Azure Policy, Azure app services, Azure SQL Databases, Key Vaults, Azure Front Door, and Enterprise Landing Zones.
- Ensure designs and implementation meet governance and security requirements.
- Attend daily scrums and manage work items assigned using Microsoft DevOps and the Agile methodology.
- Ensure cloud solutions align to best practice and WOG cyber security overlay and compliance with the Essential 8.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code artifacts for automating Azure infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Re-factorisation of legacy applications to use cloud-native services and technology.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering 'as a service' capabilities using Azure technologies; designing and implementing secure networks in Azure; and securing Azure technologies to an Official level.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing on-premises and 'as a service' capabilities.
- Understanding and experience in the application of Systems Engineering methodologies for complex ICT system development.
- Ability to provide engineering guidance and leadership within one or more technology domains.
- Experience with one or more of: ARM Templates (JSON/BICEP) , Azure CLI.
- Experience in modernising legacy applications in order to utilise cloud-native services.
- Experience in migration of SQL Server to SQL MI or Azure SQL.
- A strong understanding of government policy and legislation pertaining to the capture, storage, use and disposal of data.
- Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) SAFe Multi-Disciplinary team with minimum direction.
- Experience in the Design, Provisioning, configuration and management of Azure cloud-based data platforms including, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse.
- Experience in the design, provisioning, management and monitoring of Microsoft DataVerse technologies including Graph.
