About your new role: 

Working as the Policy and Regulatory Reform Analyst you’ll support the development, implementation and management of regulatory policies and strategies for Energy Queensland’s group of companies. 

In your day, you will support or represent the Regulatory Affairs team, which is part of Regulation team as a stakeholder on internal projects to ensure the Energy Queensland group of companies meets its regulatory requirements while balancing customer outcomes and expectations.

You’ll also prepare reports and submissions in response to formal consultations initiated by energy policy-making and Regulatory bodies on matters relating to national and state energy-related rule change requests, market reviews and amendments to industry procedures, standards, and guidelines.

You’ll be located at any major EQL location.  The remuneration for your new role is

  • 9 day fortnight: $95K to $138K plus 12.75% super,
  • 10 day fortnight: $110K to $157K plus 12.75% super.

About you:  

You’re a professional with a degree qualification in Law / Finance / Business / Economics / Management (or related discipline). Alternatively, you possess the equivalent demonstrated experience and skills required to perform this role. 

You will be knowledgeable on the legislative and Regulatory frameworks in which a utility business operates. You have experience in writing/authoring documents such as submissions, briefing notes, board papers or equivalent.

You have strong analytical skills with the proven ability to analyse and provide strategic advice and offer business solutions to optimise customer, commercial and strategic outcomes across the portfolio.

You have a high level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders. You’ll communicate, consult, influence, or negotiate positive outcomes, including across a portfolio business.
