The role
- Reporting to the Director, Centre for Public Health Regulatory Exellence (CPHRE), Health Protection and Regulation Branch, QPHaSS, the role leads the coordination and development of authoritative advice and guidance material to address complex Regulatory Policy practice issues.
You will have demonstrated:
- Proven ability to develop contemporary, evidence-based policy documents (including reports, submissions, briefing notes, agenda papers, legislative proposals), for stakeholder engagement, communication and legislative purposes.
- Exemplary written skills and demonstrated experience in preparing complex briefing material and submissions for consideration by senior executives and in ministerial, cabinet and parliamentary processes.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring individuals to achieve results in a complex environment and managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations to achieve successful outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with proven experience in effectively engaging with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, including the ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders and represent the departments interest in interjurisdictional and state-wide committees and forums.
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in Regulatory Policy development and legislative improvement projects and initiatives within government.

A scope of service that covers the whole State across four key pillars; Pathology Queensland; Biomedical Technology Services, Forensic and Scientific Services and Public Health.
