About the role
We are seeking a 1st Class Fitter & Machinist in the specialized field of driveshafts. The position is full time and requires 5 years experience in the operation of Manual Lathes (NO CNC), milling, fitting, machining MIG welding and operating a dynamic balancing machine. We require an enthusiastic, motivated person to join us in a specialized field of the repair, modification, manufacturing and balancing of driveshafts. Working in a fast paced, team environment is pivotal to a successful applicant. If the interview is successful, a further in-house skills test is required to be completed.
Skills and experience
The relevant qualifications in Fitting and Turning are required, 5 years experience and manual lathe experience. The candidate must be able to work with and without drawings & hold tolerances of +-0.02 with ease. A manual driver's licence is essential and a forklift licence is desirable.
