1st Year or 2nd Year Hairdressing Apprentice

The Role: 

Our incredible Apprentice qualified this year, after 2 years at TAFE and is now working in the salon as one of our most requested Stylists. Which means we are now on the lookout for Lily Lane’s next upcoming Stylist/Colourist.

As the Apprentice you will play a critical role in supporting the team on the salon floor, while we support you in your Apprenticeship.

What your role will look like day to day: 

• Maintaining a clean and tidy salon – the flow of the salon is important at Lily Lane, we ensure the salon is kept clean and tidy throughout the day, so each client enters a calming space. 
• Providing basins services – shampooing hair, applying toners & treatments
• Providing support to the team – applying colour, blow-drying, mixing colours etc.
• Ensuring stations are prepared for each client. 
• Washing Towels, Dishes & Colour Bowls 
• Providing clients with a range of refreshments & snacks throughout their service 
• Daily salon start up and close down 

Here are a few attributes you will bring to the team. 

• As a 1st or 2nd Year apprentice you will be taught on the job, all the skills required for the role will be provided through in-house training. 

• An open and positive attitude with the desire to support team members. 

• Able to demonstrate a strong passion for Hairdressing.

• A polished & professional appearance

Teamwork is important to the business, working in collaboration, and as part of a unit is what we strive towards daily – we demonstrate this as a business, with daily team huddles, monthly team meetings & 1:1’s to ensure there’s always open communication between the team & with your manager.
