1st Year Parks and Gardens Apprenticeship Opportunity Are you passionate about working outdoors and nurturing nature? Ready to kickstart your career as a gardener? This is your chance! Employed by MEGT and working with a Local Council you will complete a 3-year apprenticeship, working towards a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens. What will you be doing? With work based in Wilson Botanic Park, the Parks and Gardens Apprentice's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Weeding
Pruning
Litter removal
Brush-cutting and edging
Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns
Weeding and Weed spraying
Maintain gardens by fertilising and trimming
Prune trees and hedges
What are we looking for?
A strong desire to become qualified in Parks and Gardens
Ability to undertake manual/physical work
White Card
Punctual, reliable and energetic
Drivers Licence and Own Car
Satisfactory completion of a National Police Check and Pre-employment Medical
Working with Children's Check
