1X HD Mechanic
Our workshop is seeking to hire a highly experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join the afternoon shift.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Certificate 3 Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification
- Qualifications with aircon systems (highly desired)
- Familiar with American & European trucks, preferred dealership experience
- Skills in Diagnosing and Fault Finding
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
1X HD Apprentice
Goldstar Transport is committed to providing training opportunities for people who would like to commence a career, or are looking to change careers, in the field of mechanics. We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual who is interested in undertaking a four-year apprenticeship to gain formal qualifications as a HD mechanic.
In addition to your standard training at TAFE, we provide product specific training in house. Starting with basic service and repair type work, you would progress through your trade and at the end of four years you will be capable of rebuilding the latest engines & automated transmissions and have a solid understanding in things like auto electrics, brake, fuel, and vehicle electronic management systems.
Skills / Experience
Ideally you demonstrate a can-do attitude and have a sound interest in automotive / mechanical matters. If you are doing / have completed a Cert II in Automotive, this will be well regarded. The job can be physically demanding, so you must be physically fit and able to successfully pass a medical assessment, which includes a drug screening test.
