Jaram Australia is a long established Auto Accessory manufacturer based in Welshpool. Jaram was established in 1975 and is a family business with staff satisfaction a priority.
You would be joining a small factory team in which there is a huge variety of interesting and career building tasks to learn from steel pipe manufacturing to Aluminium Welding.
You will learn how to receive incoming stock orders, how to use an overhead crane to stack and lift materials. You will be able to operate a wide variety of machinery from cold saws and guillotines, to tube and pipe bending equipment. You will be exposed to Steel and aluminium MIG and TIG welding as well as the grinding and finishing operations of cleaning , polishing and powder coating. It will involve some work on vehicles as we set up a lot of vehicles for tradespeople and mine services.
It a great atmosphere, in which you will learn a lot and it will set you up for a great career in the industry.
Candidates with some industry experience will be given preference (a pre- apprenticeship is preferred) , however a great attitude and work ethic will be essential.
You will be required to work hard, you will be kept busy and our staff all enjoy the variety of work on offer.
You will be required to work a 38 hour week. For the first three years you will be required to spend 1 day per week at TAFE , followed by on the job full time in year 4.
Jaram are committed to the development and success of our staff and the company will reimburse your TAFE fees for all subjects passed.
After some weeks on a casual basis, you will be employed as per current Apprenticeship guidelines.
