The centre is engaged with numerous stakeholders in multiple areas providing an exciting multidisciplinary context for academics to create high-impact solutions.To be successful at Level B we are seeking:
- PhD in the mathematical sciences or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated research ability that supports the School's research strengths in statistics, Data Science, stochastic modelling, or a related field
- Record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality journals or conference proceedings
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with both students and staff
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently
- Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community
- Substantial record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality journals or conference proceedings
- Demonstrated ability to win significant research funding
- Substantial record of success in effective teaching using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement and as course coordinator
- Record of successful curriculum development or pedagogical innovation
- Demonstrated ability to attract and supervise postgraduate students
- Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently
