Applications are sought from suitably qualified Registrar to work in the Emergency Department team at Echuca Regional Health.
Key position details:
ERH is a Tier 1 accredited ED as a linked site with Bendigo Health. This means you will be doing all your clinical work within ERH ED but will have the opportunity to attend Bendigo ED’s highly rated education program during your 5 hours weekly protected teaching time.
ERH also run our own fortnightly Critical Care Education Program and welcome trainees with an interest in education to be involved in the ongoing design and delivery of the program. We also welcome trainees who would be interested in rotating to us from their ‘base hospital’ for a period of time and can support you in arranging this.
In addition, we offer:
- Plenty of resus and procedural experience without the need to compete with multiple other trainees for exposure
- Access to anaesthetic lists to develop intubation skills if desired
- Taking on leadership roles on MET and code blue teams
- A well supported environment with a focus on teaching opportunities and support for completion of WBA’s
Minimum qualifications/experience:
- MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and membership of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM)
- Demonstrated appropriate level experience and skills in the medical assessment and clinical management of patients
