AddressAdelaide Oval has long been one of Australia’s most recognisable and prestigious venues. Its prominent location as the centerpiece of the Adelaide CBD’s revitalised riverbank precinct, along with stunning panoramic views over the city, the Oval’s hallowed turf, St Peter’s Cathedral and beyond, makes Adelaide Oval an outstanding destination.
Adelaide Oval SMA employs more than 180 full-time staff, plus 1,500 casual employees, in roles including; operations, customer service, chefs, cooks, supervisors, baristas, bar and functions staff and stores attendants, making Adelaide Oval one of the state’s largest employers in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
As well as managing a busy function and event business at Adelaide Oval, AOSMA also oversees a number of additional venues including, Oval Hotel, Monarto Safari Park, Koffee Ink and, the Malt Shovel Taphouse.
Work Experience (High School Students only)
We know how valuable Work Experience is and are pleased to re-introduce our Work Experience program in 2024. It is our goal at Adelaide Oval to provide positive learning opportunities to students all over South Australia and showcase employment pathways in a world class venue. Our Work Experience Program is offered for one week per student, to High School Students in the following areas:
- Functions & Events
- Grounds
- Production Kitchen
- Pastry Kitchen
- Marketing & Design
- Event Planning Operations
- ICT & Cyber Security
- People & Culture
- Oval Hotel (Rooms Division)
- Tourism & RoofClimb
If you are passionate about one of the areas above and want to gain further insight to what a career at Adelaide Oval or Oval Hotel may look like - please complete the application form below.
