Job Description

Viva’s Geelong Refinery converts crude oil into transport fuels, solvents, plastic and bitumen, playing a key role in transitioning to sustainable energy solutions. You will work across our Geelong Refinery and join our Reliability, Maintenance and Operations teams that will enable you to acquire valuable skills and experience in the following areas: 

  • HV/LV Motors, Power generation and distribution
  • Field instrumentation: Field transducers and control valves
  • Industrial Automation:  Programmable Logic Controllers, microcontrollers, Safety Systems and Distributed Control Systems
  • Industrial Cyber Security for IACS threat identification, risk assessment and countermeasures
  • Process Control and Analytics
  • Telecommunications. Network switches, telemetry, and fibre optics  
  • Regulatory Control Programming and system configuration/design
  • Risk management: hazard identification, engineering controls and mitigations
  • Communication with stakeholders and coordination of field crews
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting
Qualifications

Eligibility criteria 

  • Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold permanent residency  
  • Completed the relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degree in the required discipline (within the past 2 years) prior to commencing the program
