2IC moving to Director

Birralee has a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated person for a director in training role. The position would see the successful candidate work alongside the current Director in a 2IC role, moving into the Director role within 18 months. 

Birralee is a non-for-profit organisation, with the approved provider being the management committee consisting of family members, therefore, the right candidate will need to be able to successfully run all aspects of the Centre, including keeping the committee of management informed, managing and supporting employees, dealing with all family situations, bookkeeping, ensuring high occupancy, maintaining the building, understanding all legislation, including working with the department of ECEC to ensure the centre remains compliant, updating policies, QIP, SIP, and RAP and keeping Birralee a happy place for children. 

Birralee will be looking for a strong individual who is passionate, a team player, has amazing organisational skills, able to continue the quality standards already set, have a least a diploma of ECEC and at least 5 years’ experience in early childhood education. 

This position is full time and will require the successful candidate to be hands on within the environment, working alongside the team, opening, or closing the Centre daily, mentoring staff, providing guidance to support positive outcomes for children in a proactive manner.
