Job description

The continual growth and expansion of 360 Health Management has led to an exciting opportunity for an energetic, vibrant person with a "can do" attitude!

The 2nd In Charge (2IC) position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Service Manager in the delivery of high-quality services to participants within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The role involves assisting with key functions of support work including scheduling, ensuring compliance with NDIS regulations, and delivering exceptional person-centered care. This position also requires leadership in the development and mentoring of staff and acting as an advocate for the rights and needs of people with disabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee rostering of support work, ensuring shifts are entered correctly, communicated with support workers and referral sources.
  • Provide administrative support to the Managing Director, General Manager and Client Services manager.
  • Provide a point of contact for queries relating to support work shifts ensuring a timely response and follow up.
  • Record and monitor appropriate data relating to the rostering function for support work and provide reports as required.
  • Liaise internally with Support Coordinators to ensure Support Work service needs are meet.
  • Work closely with participants, families, and other stakeholders to ensure that service delivery is responsive to individual needs and promotes independence and inclusion.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Assist with incident management and reporting in accordance with NDIS Commission requirements.
  • Support the management of client files, funding, service agreements in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Help and assist with the initial screening and intake of new SW participants.
  • Customer service and reception duties as required including greeting members of the public, answering phones, related paperwork and other tasks as required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure support work roster is completed in a compliant manner.
  • Ensure support work shifts are kept up to date and accurately recorded within Brevity.
  • Provide guidance and direction to support workers to ensure support work shifts are completed in accordance with the NDIS standards.
  • Undertake and complete administration tasks in a timely manner.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualification in Community Care, Aged Care, Individual Support, Mental Health or Disability (or working towards)
  • Worker Orientation Module – NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Induction – including OHS and Team Member Handbook
  • First Aid (recommended)
  • CPR Certificate (recommended)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Qualifications and experience relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to support and mentor a team.
  • Well-developed communication, advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, including prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply relevant legislation including Privacy, Anti-Discrimination, Equal Opportunity during the course of daily work.
  • Current drivers' licence (including reliable car and current comprehensive car insurance).
