Exciting Carpentry Apprenticeship opportunity in Ipswich for an existing Carpentry Apprentice! We are eager to hear from you if you have an interest in working for a developer in all aspects of carpentry work & learning more about the construction industry!
Entry level opportunity with structured learning and on the job experience in Ipswich to secure a future career. Gain on the job experience while completing a Certificate III in Carpentry, a nationally recognised qualification.
Our host employer is a small team with projects in Ipswich and Brisbane South. They develop and build their own projects, which include service stations, childcare centres and resi-housing. They are looking for an existing apprentice who has experience and their own set of tools to contribute to the growth of the business.
Work for a company who focuses on career progression and investing their time into your career with them. Assisting with framing, cladding, fix out, sheeting, concreting, clean up around the site and much more is what your day-to-day would look like.
What's involved?
During the training contract duration you get to the learn the following:
- Study building plans and drawings to work out the materials required and how best to install features
- Erecting building framework
- Fit outs & cladding
- Using carpenter's hand and power tools
- Preparing, treating, cutting and shaping timber elements to be used for structures or fittings
- Own tools
- White card
- Reliable transport
- A positive attitude and ability to work with a team
- No experience necessary!
- A smooth transition into work from school, unemployment, or other employment – we are with you every step of the way.
- Paid training (earn while you learn!)
