IRM Group are a leading commercial refurbishment company based in Melbourne. We specialise in transforming commercial spaces into functional, aesthetic and productive environments where we focus on high end work.
Our projects include office fitouts, educational facility upgrades and full building refurbishments (such as lobby upgrades and end of trip facilities). We complete these projects in much of Melbourne's premier office buildings, as well as leading universities and councils.

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic 2nd or 3rd Year apprentice looking to pursue a career in Commercial Carpentry, who have a passion for construction and looking to learn and grow in an environment that not only will teach them carpentry, but the whole building process. This is where IRM is unique, as a builder, we oversee all trades from start to finish, allowing you to not only learn carpentry skills, but also see and understand projects from start to finish including services work (fire, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic).
At IRM Group, you’ll be part of a team that values dedication, expertise, and passion. We offer hands-on guidance throughout your apprenticeship, ensuring you gain the skills and experience needed for a successful career in Commercial Carpentry.
As an apprentice you will:
- Have a white construction card or be willing to obtain one
- Learn from our experienced senior carpenters and construction managers
- Work on high-end projects
- Learn the trade on the job as you gain your qualification
- Have your own reliable transport, drivers’ licence and tools
- Monthly RDO’s
- Be offered a competitive salary
- Follow OHS procedures
As a builder we also offer you the ability to progress your career into senior carpentry and Construction Manager roles.
