About the Role:
Due to exciting growth in our business, we are excited to announce that we are seeking an A Grade Electrician, with fitting and high voltage experience preferred, based at our Bendigo Depot.
In this role you will carry out all functions associated with construction, maintenance, fault and emergency restoration of the company’s electricity distribution system in Zone and Distribution Substations.
Using your ‘can-do’ attitude, approachable and personable disposition, you will strive to ensure that we meet company’s customer service objectives of providing a safe, reliable, timely and cost effective supply of electricity and associated services.
Please note this role will require you to travel statewide frequently for up to 10 days at a time.
For all candidates, in order to progress through to the next stage, you must comply with the following:
- Qualification of a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician; or a recognised equivalent qualification (compulsory)
- ESI Worker (optional)
- Statement of Attainment for Competency Standard Units (compulsory)
- Current Refresher Training records (compulsory)
- Construction Induction Card (compulsory)
- Car license (compulsory)
- High Risk Licence (optional)
- Heavy Vehicle Licence (optional)
- Switching training / authority (optional)
Note: Employment will be subject to the candidate successfully completing a pre-employment medical examination (which includes a hearing test, colour blindness and physical examination) as well as relevant drug and alcohol testing and to assess fitness for work, reference checks, as well as Entitlement to Work in Australia checks.
