About the company:
Talent International are partnering with a State Government Department location in Brisbane CBD to fill the below contract opportunity. This role will see you join the Strategy and Governance branch who is responsible for ensuring that the Department’s corporate governance framework complies with external and internal accountability requirements.

Your new role:
Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Governance this role will see you take on the below duties and responsibilities over the course of the contract.

  • Develop and maintain the department’s Risk Management, Fraud and Corruption Control, Disaster Management and Business Continuity policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate cyclical reviews and maintain registers and records to fulfil reporting requirements.
  • Provide high level professional advice, direction and support in relation risk management, fraud and corruption control, disaster management and business continuity frameworks to stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and networks within the department, across government agencies and external bodies.
  • Deliver presentations, conduct facilitations, and contribute to reporting and advisory services to build the capability of the department.

What you’ll need to succeed:
We strongly encourage your application should you have demonstrated the below skills and capabilities:

  • Solid knowledge and application of current risk management, fraud and corruption control and business continuity practices.
  • Ability to apply and interpret legislation.
  • Exceptional written capabilities, able to produce high-level reports.
  • Demonstrated success working on multiple projects simultaneously, completing workloads within established timeframes and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances change.
  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
