We have an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal Communications and Partnerships Advisor.
We're looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our NSW Government Brand and Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of championing inclusive marketing practices across the NSW Government in a supportive and collaborative team environment with a key focus in working on Aboriginal campaigns and supporting agencies to deliver impactful advertising to priority audiences.
The role sits within the Brand and Communications team within the Customer, Delivery and Transformation division of NSW Department of Customer Service.
In this role, you will:
- Support the development and evaluation of effective communications for Aboriginal audiences.
- Gathering insights and executing research to build our understanding of Aboriginal and multicultural audiences to better communicate with these communities.
- Supporting the development of guidance materials to share best practices across government and keep abreast of industry trends in marketing Communications and engagement targeting diverse audiences.
- Preparing engaging presentations to support projects and teamwork
- Advising on and assessing compliance with the NSW Government regulatory framework for advertising to ensure delivery of effective customer communications.
- Effectively supporting project deliverables and contractual requirements of suppliers.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience in the delivery of communications projects that target diverse communities and drive communications excellence, including communications to First Nations Aboriginal and other diverse audiences.
- Experience with advertising via paid media channels
- Strong stakeholder relationship building and project management skills.
- Experience in content creation, particularly for web and email
- Proven record of working across multiple projects, handling multiple relationships, and supporting work across a team
- Professional experience and/or tertiary qualifications in marketing Communications and/or stakeholder and community engagement
