About the role
The Aboriginal MHDA Clinical Leader will provide Clinical Leadership and co-ordination of Aboriginal Mental Health Trainees undertaking the BSc Health Science (Mental Health) Charles Sturt 'Djirruwang' Program as well as provide increased support for the clinical Aboriginal workforce and broader MHDA workforce across the Bathurst and Region Hub.
The Clinical Leader will have a role in developing and providing cultural capability and education to the broader MHDA workforce which will be aimed at enhancing the cultural safety of the service.
The Clinical Leader will be responsible for enhancing the capacity of the Mental Health workforce to improve the Mental Health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people accessing services across Bathurst and Region.
The Bathurst Adult Community Mental Health Team is a multidisciplinary team of professionals from social work, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy and medical backgrounds. We work closely with family, community organisations, health services and consumers to provide acute Mental Health care and clinical management to our local population.
