The Campbelltown Mental Health Rehabilitation unit is a slow stream rehabilitation Unit that works with complex Mental Health consumers over a 12-to-18-month timeframe who are referred from across the NSW state. At full capacity, the unit will have 12 male consumers and 4 female consumers admitted to the unit.As the Clinical Psychologist on the team, you will be Pivotal in providing 1:1 psychological intervention, group programs, and behavioural management support. You will work with an enthusiastic team of health professionals which includes nurses, psychiatric registrars, consultant psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and diversional therapists.What You'll be Doing
To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex Mental Health problems and disorders.The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the developmentand provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.Where You'll Be Working

View our for information on how to respond to criteria and . * Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.

  • Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis
  • Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
