About the position The position of Academic Administrator exists to deliver a range of reliability and excellence in administrative and procedural tasks related to curriculum and learning in the Senior School. They will be a motivated problem solver with an eye for detail, and the desire to ensure that the processes of a large and complex learning organisation run smoothly, to support student learning and achievement. They provide high level administrative support to the Deputy Head of Senior School Academic (DHOSS-A).

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management and administration of NAPLAN requirements 
  • Administration for Minimum Standards Testing
  • Assist students with applications for the NSW School of Languages and Saturday School of Community Languages and follow up re-enrolments.
  • Administer the assessment tasks to NSW School of Languages students.
  • Follow up overdue assignments and permission notes for face-to-face lessons or assessments.
  • NESA and IBIS operational requirements 
  • Set up and manage Parent Teacher Interview bookings. 
  • Responsible for production of student reports twice per year for Years 7-12 including the collection and data entry of outcome descriptors, academic profiles and class and teacher details.
  • Generate and maintain academic results sheet for Prize Winners and Academic Awards for Speech Night and Year 12 Valedictory Assembly

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience with Engage or similar education administration systems.
  • Ability to manage student data across a range of platforms in parallel.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed technology skills especially in relation to school database systems and related school software and operating applications
  • Ability to work effectively within a technological environment including Apple devices and standard Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to identify and document process improvements.
  • Ability to process map key role functions.
