GF Piping Systems (GF) are seeking a driven and enthusiastic team player to join our dynamic long-standing team as Account Manager in our Riverwood, Sydney Office. This role will develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to sell, promote and demonstrate the company’s products and/or related services.
GF is a global market leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of industrial plastic piping systems for the safe delivery of liquids and gases. GF has developed a reputation for providing their clients with the best quality equipment, exceptional customer service and fast supply.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to prospecting and existing clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and escalations.
- Track account metrics, such as revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and retention rates.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide strategic insights to clients.
- Demonstrate products and services to customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
- Responsibility for the negotiation of pricing and terms of business.
The successful applicant must have the following skills and experience:
- Relationship driven personality who places high value on customer service, delivery and reputation.
- Tertiary qualification and/or experience in Sales & Marketing or Engineering.
- Experience in account management and experience in dealing with key stakeholders.
- Proven track record in sales growth and achieving targets.
- Business acumen with ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
- Interest and passion for business and commercial awareness.
- Presentable with strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to development external and internal relationships.
- Strives to learn, with a high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
- Extensive connections within the plumbing industry, including relationships with plumbing merchants and civil and plumbing contractors.
- Knowledge of SAP, CRM and Microsoft Office (preferred but not essential).
- Australian valid driving license and ability to travel as required.
