Job Description:The
Account Manager – Independents role will play a vital role in unlocking the strategic channel mix pillar of the Mars Food Strategy, through the account management and new business generation of Key MSO (Multi Site Operator) groups. The
Account Manager role is a strategically important role that requires exceptional stakeholder management internally and externally, partnered with strong operational discipline.The ideal candidate will be passionate, dedicated individual who is able to operate nimbly in ambiguous environments and has the ability to deeply understand their customers’ needs to identify partnership opportunities for mutual wins.
What are we looking for?- Degree qualification in commerce or business discipline preferred, but not essential.
- Previous sales Account Management experience or extensive field sales background in FMCG is essential.
- Good level of analytical and numerical ability.
- Entry level understanding of financial principles behind effective trade spend management.
- Results driven, desire to succeed, action oriented and service focused.
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Sound understanding of selling and proven ability to create compelling selling stories.
What will be your key responsibilities?- Conduct end to end account management of a dedicated customer portfolio including all areas of pricing, promotion, execution, category management, activation, and NPD/distribution with all activities consistent with defined banner group programs.
- Supporting the National Business Manager and Account Manager with New Business generation of key MSO groups
- In support with the National Business Manager, review and renegotiate customer trading terms against agreed deliverables and marketplace context to unlock new business.
- Partner with Cross-functional Teams and Customers groups to execute range review processes and Unlock Perfect Store and Perfect Screen Opportunities.
- Partner with Mars Food Field Lead and 3rd Party Field Team to unlock customer/MFA strategies/objectives at a Multi-Site Operator Group and Store level.
