What this opportunity involves:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Accountant to join our team at JLL!
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Business Partner for our Valuation and Risk Advisory business line. You will be involved in leading various finance processes and reporting activities of your assigned segment.
This role is required in Sydney and will have hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office in Sydney CBD and 2 days from home. This position is ideal for someone with strong background in Accounting and Finance, preferably with experience in a high volume / corporate accounting environment.
An overview of the role:
- Support the Finance Business Partner with key business processes and reporting, including forecasts, business performance reporting, annual budgets, commissions, accounting queries, and other corporate finance deliverables.
- Oversee key system interface processes and ensure smooth operational-to-finance system transitions.
- Provide guidance and support to the business and shared services team on finance queries related to travel and entertainment, commissions, systems, revenue splits/sharing, AP, AR, and banking queries.
- Oversight on the timely submission of monthly close processes, reconciliations, accruals, and other journals.
- Coordinate client cheque payment process, bank statement reconciliation, and receipting.
- Manage business accounts payable processes and ensure appropriate allocation and recognition of external costs.
- Prepare and distribute key business activity reports on a daily and weekly basis, maximizing operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper allocation, invoicing, and recovery of recoverable costs.
- Execute internal revenue transactions as required.
- Act as administrator of the JLL MS bank accounts, including processing transfers and refunds.
- Support the team in outstanding debtors management and provide commentary.
- Engage the controllership team for support and escalation when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain high-quality finance system data.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
- CPA/CA qualification or equivalent, or in the process of obtaining one.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and ability to quickly learn new ERP systems.
- Highly detail-oriented and able to manage data for a high-volume business.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and follow instructions.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Previous experience with PeopleSoft and EPM/IBM Planning is an advantage.
- Experience working with high-volume businesses and overseas shared services is a plus.
- Previous experience in residential or niche valuations financial management is an advantage.
