Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Preparing accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Conducting comprehensive financial analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Offering strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to enhance financial performance.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborating closely with the management team to develop comprehensive annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Monitoring and analyzing budget variances, providing valuable insights to control costs and optimize profitability.
• Assisting in the implementation of effective budgeting and forecasting processes to improve efficiency.
3. Tax Compliance:
• Ensuring strict adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Preparing Company tax returns.
• Conducting thorough tax research to identify opportunities for tax savings and minimize tax liabilities.
4. Internal Controls and Audit:
• Establishing and maintaining robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Participating actively in internal audit, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to internal control processes to mitigate risks effectively.
5. Team Management and Leadership:
• Demonstrating exemplary leadership skills while overseeing a team of accountants.
• Providing guidance, training, and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth.
• Promoting a collaborative and high-performing work environment to achieve team goals.
Who We Are Looking For:
• Qualification: At least Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting roles.
• Experience with HandiLedger and HandiTax.
• Experience in Tax Accounting is advantageous.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording financial data.
• Ability to prioritise task.
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills
• Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve the issues.
What's On Offer:
• $75,000.00 plus superannuation.
