About The PositionGameco is currently seeking a full-time Accountant who holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce and has specialized in general accountancy practice, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities- Check suppliers’ invoices against the purchase orders and process them in the accounting system.
- Make payments to local and overseas suppliers.
- Reconcile daily cash, EFTPOS and Paypal payment receipts.
- Issue refunds to customers via EFT/ EFTPOS/ Paypal when required.
- Reconcile for different bank accounts.
- Check and authorize all expenses for the New Zealand branch after receiving the breakdown from the branch manager.
- Reconcile major suppliers’ accounts to identify any discrepancies before issuing monthly payments.
- Reconcile intragroup transactions for the warehouse transfers from QLD to NZ and from VIC to NZ.
- Keep record of employees’ attendance and holding leave and process payroll for 4 branches including NSW, VIC, WA and New Zealand branches on weekly basis.
- Responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks including formulate, update, and analyse financial information, as well as protect sensitive and confidential information.
- Assist in preparing and lodging AUS and NZ BAS and make BAS payments monthly.
- Lodge and pay AUS Payroll tax and superannuation monthly.
- Lodge and pay NZ PAYE and super monthly.
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
- Work with the CFO to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Assist the CFO in preparing annual accounts for auditing.
- Recommend financial actions by keeping track of daily cash position.
- Provide accounts clerk with training and guidance in daily tasks.
- Identify financial discrepancies by auditing processed account entries and conducting financial investigations.
- Analyse organization’s operational performance and provide suggestions for improvement by examining operational expenses.
- Comply with statutory and legal requirements by studying the existing and new regulations and advise management on necessary actions to be taken.
- Minimize the risk of material misstatement of financial reports by following internal controls
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Administer accounting system.
