About the Role:
As the Accountant, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing various financial facets integral to our business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing invoicing procedures
- Overseeing Accounts Receivable
- Ensuring smooth payroll operations
- Conducting bank reconciliations and cash management
- Handling taxes including GST, FBT, Payroll tax, and PAYG tax
- Generating month-end/year-end reports and reconciliations
- Providing mentorship and fostering the development of staff
- Tackling ad-hoc duties as required
About You:
We're seeking an outstanding communicator, both in written and verbal forms, who thrives in a dynamic, results-oriented environment. You should possess a proactive problem-solving attitude, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and self-development. Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated track record in accounting or related roles are essential, along with proficiency in MYOB software and advanced computer skills.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Accountant or equivalent role
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Previous experience in medium to large-sized business environments
- Proficiency in effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA qualification or actively progressing towards certification
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications
