Our client, Yashoda Pty Ltd trading as Your Energy Savers, is a company working under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program as well as the Energy Sustainability Scheme (ESS) to help households and businesses reduce energy consumption and minimise energy bills by reducing the carbon emission in Victoria and New South Wales. The company's head office is 20 22-30 Wallace Avenue, Point Cook, Victoria 3030.The company offers a full-time Accountant position with an annual salary of $70,000 per annum plus superannuation.The Responsibilities:
- Prepare regulatory financial reports to ensure compliance with relevant legislative standards
- Perform comprehensive analysis such as profit and liquidity analysis
- Evaluate the financial performance and the profitability of operations
- Guide revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and profit maximisation
- Regularly perform cash flow planning and management
- Develop and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures
- Assist with the internal audit process and examine whether internal control protocols have been followed
- Document all financial transactions and ensure the accuracy, safety, and compliance of record-keeping at all time
- Advise Chief Financial Officer on financial and tax issues on business operations and planning
- Assist the CFO in evaluating business proposals, financial risk, and tax implication
- Assist CFO in developing budget and benchmarking
- Prepare information for financial statements and tax returns
- Monitor cash flow, operating costs, and financial risks
- Analyse operational costs and expenditures, allocate costs to relevant accounts, and advise management on cost control and improvement initiatives
- Prepare reports and/or presentations to the Director and management by collecting, analysing, and summarising accounting information and trends
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable
- Manage and lead a team of Assistant Accountants and administrative staff
- Process of payments and financial transactions including calculation of payment summaries, superannuation, and leave entitlements
- Maintain business confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information strictly confidential
- Execute the accounting system maintenance every month to analyse and evaluate businesses' current accounting system needs
- Stay up to date with legal requirements, enforce adherence to requirements, and advise management on needed actions
- Must have at least three (3) years of accounting experience in a professional or commercial capacity
- At least three (3) years of professional accounting experience within the trade services industry in Australia
- Relevant tertiary degree in accounting
- Must have experience with the AASB accounting policies
- Must have intermediate knowledge and experience with company income tax and GST
- Must have experience working with the Data force and MYOB accounting software system
- Must have advanced MS Office suite knowledge especially skilled in MS Excel
