Senior Financial Accountant

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the monthly and annual consolidation of the Intrepid Group statutory report. This is a key finance role based in Melbourne head office to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Group accounting policies across the Group.This role will have you managing the preparation of the monthly and annual statutory reports, Coordinating and leading the year end Group and local external audits as well as providing policy advise, training and support to the broader Finance Team when needed.This is a full-time permanent position based out of our HQ on Collins Street with the flexibility to work some days from home.You'll have a passion for travel and also:4-5 years+ Chartered Accounting environment in audit or business advisory ideally coming from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.Experience of working in a global company with multiple foreign subsidiaries.Strong understanding and application of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.A high level of written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and deadline driven.An enthusiasm for understanding and educating others on financial reporting issues, driving change in a global environment.Experience in Finance ERP system - Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred and experience in TM1 desirable.Demonstrated ability in dealing with diverse teams.In addition, you will be friendly, adaptable to rapid change.
