Total Synergy creates project management software for people who design and make our built environment for the AEC (architects, engineers, construction designers). Our mission is to give our users #moretimefordesign through our product. We have been making software for our customers since 1999 — which was originally an on-premises application but now a pure cloud SaaS product built on Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. We’re currently the preferred software for our industry in Australia with over 12,000 users in our community. We have been growing that community globally, and have an office and teammates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Christchurch as well as the UK with new customers on five continents.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a detail oriented, and results-driven Accountant to join our Australian HQ’d Finance team who are based in our North Sydney offices. As the company accountant you will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Finance and the business by carrying out the following outcomes:
- Produce subscription & consulting invoices and amortise long term contracts
- Reconcile bank transactions and inter-company loans
- Prepare monthly GST/BAS/VAT and payroll tax for each entity
- Prepare monthly financial and management accounts
- Conduct payroll processing and other associated payroll tasks (eg PAYG, Super, Workers Compensation payments)
- Manage accounts payable - post bills, payments, related company recharges, amortisation accurately and on time
ABOUT YOU
- Highly preferred experience working with Xero, Chartmogul is an added bonus
- Experience working to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Accounting knowledge, preferably in SaaS
- Drive engagement with people across the different business units for all finance related queries
- Enjoy highlighting and support new approaches/ finance processes to ensure efficiencies in our processes
- Are a team player and have great communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Are able to thrive in a 'scale up' growth focused environment
- Have the ability to move quickly, strategically, with superb tactical execution

Must be open to work cross border hours with our London team adhoc or as and when required.
HQ in Sydney -open to hybrid Sydney as well remote Australian geographies such as Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth but must work to Sydney hours.
