SalaryWisteria is an Australian importer and wholesaler of high-quality furniture and lighting for the local designer and retail markets.
We are a niche supplier selling nationally and in New Zealand through a network of Agents and have a warehouse facility based at Northgate in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and processing of our payroll, forecasting and budgeting, bookkeeping, month-end reporting, reconciliations, trade finance, general ledger, commission calculations and general compliance.
We operate Xero Accounting and DEAR (CIN7) stock control systems which are integrated.
DEAR has been customised to suit the business and we are excited to have someone on board to help us develop its potential for forecasting purchasing and analyzing important sales and stock data.
Responsibility for general creditors & small debtors is also required.
Monthly BAS reporting is required and assisting our external accountant in the preparation of end of year tax accounts.
Reporting directly to the MD, we estimate the role to be 2-3 days per week working with our small team at our Northgate head office.
Tasks
HR Functions
- Weekly payroll
- Managing payroll queries and employee expense claims.
- Managing employee review calendar and assisting in employee interviews.
- Maintaining Superannuation, PAYE & award obligations
Accounting Functions
- Managing general accounts, accounts payable, receivables and collections.
- Monthly reconciliations and BAS.
- Cash flow forecasting and expense management.
- Monthly reporting.
Special Functions
- Assisting in the purchase and planning of foreign currency requirements
- Ensuring a smooth integration between DEAR & Xero accounting software.
- Assisting in the development of the DEAR stock management systems
- Weekly sales reporting to our salespeople.
Remuneration
A Salary of $90 000 Pro Rata to 2-3 days a week is offered plus superannuation entitlements etc.
