- Verify and process supplier invoices for payments according to internal processes and procedures, allocating expenses to the appropriate GL code and regional entities
- Manage daily cash balance, prepare and set up weekly supplier payment run
- Reconcile company card transactions, verify transactions against supporting receipts/invoices
- Record intercompany transactions and review end-of-month intercompany loan balance
- Maintain Fixed Assets register and process monthly depreciation and amortisation schedule
- Prepare monthly accrual and prepayment amortisation journal entries
- Provide support to the Payroll function
- Work alongside the accountant and assist the finance manager with month-end close activities, management reporting, year-end reporting, annual audits, and general accounting operations tasks.
- Assist in identifying areas for improvement and be part of the team to deliver continuous improvement and enhance efficiency within the finance function.
- Qualified CPA/CA and previous experience working as an Assistant/ Accountant.
- Ideally, you will have experience using Xero and ApprovalMax.
- Intermediate proficiency in using MS Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy for transactional accounting.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- A high degree of integrity, honesty, commitment, responsibility and reliability.
- Working knowledge of Australian GST and FBT reporting requirements. Knowledge of NZ GST and UK VAT would be beneficial.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives is beneficial.
