Accountant

• Verify and process supplier invoices for payments according to internal processes and procedures, allocating expenses to the appropriate GL code and regional entities
• Manage daily cash balance, prepare and set up weekly supplier payment run
• Reconcile company card transactions, verify transactions against supporting receipts/invoices
• Record intercompany transactions and review end-of-month intercompany loan balance
• Maintain Fixed Assets register and process monthly depreciation and amortisation schedule
• Prepare monthly accrual and prepayment amortisation journal entries
• Provide support to the Payroll function
• Work alongside the accountant and assist the finance manager with month-end close activities, management reporting, year-end reporting, annual audits, and general accounting operations tasks.
• Assist in identifying areas for improvement and be part of the team to deliver continuous improvement and enhance efficiency within the finance function.

• Qualified CPA/CA and previous experience working as an Assistant/ Accountant.
• Ideally, you will have experience using Xero and ApprovalMax.
• Intermediate proficiency in using MS Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy for transactional accounting.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• A high degree of integrity, honesty, commitment, responsibility and reliability.
• Working knowledge of Australian GST and FBT reporting requirements. Knowledge of NZ GST and UK VAT would be beneficial.
• Experience in process improvement initiatives is beneficial.
