We are currently seeking an Accountant based in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, NSW.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Management & reconciliation of fortnightly doctor billings & doctor distributions process.
- Preparation and ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain several internal controls, including management of credit card system. Assist in the roll-out of new credit card reconciliation process.
- Preparation of monthly P&L reports, including analysis of expenditure to support operational stakeholders.
- Support annual audit process, including liaising directly with external auditors.
- Support completion and lodgment of annual Fringe Benefits Tax return.
- Assist commercial finance team in the annual budgeting process.
- Ad hoc reporting and participation in projects.
Candidate Portfolio:
- Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field.
- At least two years full-time, relevant employment experience.
- Currently enrolled or planning to enroll in professional further education (CPA/CA/CIMA).
- Experience working within complex environments – multi-entity, multi-cost centers.
- Ability to work to & manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience maintaining internal accounting controls.
- Understanding of monthly close procedures.
- Experience working with Microsoft Navision Dynamics or Salesforce systems are preferred, but not required. Alternately, experience working with major accounting systems (e.g. Oracle, Sage, Zero, QuickBooks) is required.
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
