The Role

Due to rapid growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our Springwood office. This role will involve managing a portfolio of clients that operate across multiple professions and industries and providing compliance, accounting, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for all entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, and other statutory compliance.
• Assisting clients with a range of taxation matters, including (but not limited to) FBT, CGT, income tax and GST.
• Meeting with clients and client advisers, managing client queries and engagements.
• Building and developing strong client relationships, as well as providing additional value services.

About You

• You will have a Business or Commerce Degree (majoring in Accounting).
• CA or CPA qualification is desirable or ability to work towards this. 
• You ideally have a minimum of five years’ experience within an Australian accounting practice.
• Are experienced with Xero software, including Xero Practice Manager (XPM). (desirable
• You are a team player who is self-motivated and proactive.
• You highly value your professional standing with your clients, peers, and direct reports.
• Have gained experience working with a diverse range of clients.
• Display demonstrated ownership of your duties and client tasks, exhibiting a high level of attention to detail and accuracy and, crucially, an ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. 
• Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Are equipped with the technical knowledge and skills to work autonomously.
